Usage & top-ups

Track credit usage, buy packs, and fund V2 Cloud AI balance.

OpenV2 has two consumption meters: build credits (IDE AI chat) and V2 Cloud AI balance (inference inside your apps).

Build credits

Dynamic pricing

Each chat turn costs credits based on:

  • Tokens used (input + output)
  • Model rates (configurable server-side)

Simple edits consume fewer credits than generating multiple files from scratch.

Usage dashboard

Settings → Usage shows:

  • Heatmap of daily credit use
  • Current period consumption vs. plan quota
  • Transaction history

Credit packs

One-time purchases ($5–$200 presets) add credits that never expire and stack on your monthly allowance. Buy from Settings → Billing or the upgrade modal.

Saving credits

  1. Start with focused prompts — one feature at a time
  2. Edit small fixes in the code editor instead of chatting
  3. Use plan mode for large features to avoid wrong turns
  4. Use templates instead of greenfield generation

V2 Cloud AI balance

Separate from build credits:

  • Monthly free USD allowance for app inference
  • Funded balance for overage
  • Top up via Stripe AI top-up checkout

Monitor in V2 Cloud → AI section.

Stripe portal

Paid subscribers can open the Stripe Customer Portal to:

  • Update payment method
  • View invoices
  • Cancel subscription (active until period end)
